Cherry: dense, darker wood. The color is very attractive, contrasting, a little reddish. Cherry wood is medium hard and is very popular among furniture makers.

Linden: lighter wood, delicate light colors. Linden wood is medium hard and can be worked quite easily (it is softer than pine).
